Animation Studies Post 1

Here are some studies I've been doing over the summer. One of my instructors gave me some Disney key drawings of Minney Mouse, so I in-betweened them during what free time I've been able to scrounge up in the last few months. Upon the suggestion of the Animation Archive director, I next started copying key poses from Tom and Jerry.

I hadn't finished that yet when I noticed that John K posted a Bosko clip on his Blog for animation students to learn from. I took some time off from the Tom and Jerry clip in order to study the Bosko clip. Now, I'm working on the Tom clip again, and I hope to have it complete by the time my next semester of art school starts (in a week or so.)
Here's my work so far:

BOSKO

Below is the Minnie Mouse in betweening work I did. It's alot easier to animate using a pencil, paper, and light table than to use a wacom tablet like I used for Bosko.

MINNEY MOUSE

I'll post up the Tom and Jerry work as soon as it's done.
